Beer Mustard Recipe

• 1/2 c yellow mustard seeds

• 1/2 c brown mustard seeds

• 1 12-oz Bosque Lager

• 2 tbsp dry mustard powder

• 1 tbsp onion powder

• 1 tbsp caraway seeds

• 2 tsp kosher salt

• 1 c cider vinegar

• honey to taste (optional)


Combine mustard seeds and beer. Allow mixture to stand at room temperature until the beer is flat, about 4 hours. Transfer the soaked seeds and liquid to a high-speed blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high until the mustard is a thick, smooth paste. Use a spatula or plunger to facilitate this. Store mustard in glass jars in the refrigerator. Makes 3 cups.
